Beliveau in Royal Blue

by Dickie Dunn

The Langton Royals Jr Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of 19 year old Tobby Beliveau of Montreal Quebec. Tobby played hockey at Somang Hockey Academy in the U20 program. He will join the Royals up the middle and will be an asset on both sides of the puck.

Head Coach and General Manager Jason Do Paco says "We are very pleased to have Tobby with us for our first season. We have heard great things about his leadership ability and his work ethic. Tobby played in the Somang Hockey Academy U20 program which is fantastic, as we know he will be used to the bigger bodies. Somang has a great program over there for players from all over the world as young as 9 or 10 I believe. We are very happy to be working alongside Somang."

When asked this is what Tobby had to say about joining the Royal Family "I joined the Royals because they  had a great package deal. There are a lot of games, 8 show case games and you can even make a show case that you play in Las Vegas. This is against really good teams and in front of scouts all the way up to the NHL were there last year watching guys, plus we will practice a lot in Langton and work out. There will be video break down of games for the team and individually, and the exposure package and contacts to the next level are great. I hope to earn a spot with IFK ORE in the future. My ultimate goal is to play in Europe so I saw this as the best option for me. I hope to bring a strong work ethic, determination and leadership to the team. I know this is the formula for success. I would like to thank Somang Hockey Academy for the development and the connection with the Royals."
